EMDR + Brainspotting Therapy for Healthier Relationships in Denver, CO
You’ve done the work - so why do relationships still feel so DIFFICULT?
Does this sound familiar…
You’ve done a lot of work on yourself.
You’re self-aware, intentional, and understand a lot of your patterns.
And yet, when it comes to relationships…something still isn’t fully clicking…
ThIS ISN’T ABOUT NEEDING MORE INSIGHT.
The patterns you’re stuck in aren’t just cognitive, they live in your nervous system + subconscious mind.
Which is why you can understand so much, but still feel stuck + pulled into the same experiences.
Hi, I’m Lauren -
I’m your Brainspotting + EMDR therapist in Denver, CO
I’m really glad you’re here :)
I work with women who have done a lot of work on themselves—but still feel stuck when it comes to actually feeling fulfilled, especially in relationships.
Maybe that looks like ending up in the same kind of misaligned or unavailable dynamic…or wondering why nothing is really happening at all.
This work is personal to me. I know what it’s like to understand your patterns and still feel stuck in them.
At a certain point, I realized it wasn’t more insight I needed—it was a way to actually work with what was underneath it all.
Because real change doesn’t come from overthinking or analyzing more.
It comes from working with your nervous system, your deeper patterns, and how you show up in your life.
This isn’t about giving you more tools or more things to figure out.
It’s about helping things actually shift—so you can trust yourself, feel more grounded, and open up to a life that genuinely feels good.
I use EMDR, Brainspotting, attachment work, and parts-based approaches to get underneath the patterns—so change doesn’t just make sense, it actually happens.
Virtual therapy for women in Denver, CO and throughout Colorado and California.
This work is about more than insight—
it’s about creating a space where you can feel safe, supported, and truly met as things begin to change.
What relationship therapy in Denver, CO looks like with me:
In our work together, we focus on:
Working with patterns + triggers as they show up
Identifying and shifting the subconscious beliefs driving your relationship experiences
Support that works with your body + nervous system, not just your thoughts
Building self-trust—so you can rely on yourself instead of constantly second-guessing
Allowing for confusion, mixed feelings, and not having it “all figured out” (but feeling grounded + surrendered anyway)
Shifting how you show up in your day-to-day life—your habits, choices, and the way you care for yourself
Staying connected to yourself, even in moments that usually lead to overthinking or self-doubt
After sessions, there can often be a feeling of release, like a weight has been lifted
This work isn’t just about changing your relationships. It’s about expanding your capacity for love, joy, and possibility—
and becoming someone who feels more grounded, more at ease, and more like herself in everyday life.
My approach to therapy for women in Denver, CO and throughout Colorado and California is focused on helping things actually move in a different direction—
not by trying harder or analyzing more, but by working with your patterns at their root.
THIS WORK OFTEN LEADS TO…
Less overthinking + fewer internal spirals
Feeling more grounded, steady, emotionally regulated
Trusting your thoughts, feelings, and decisions without constant second-guessing
Feeling less pulled toward misaligned or unavailable dynamics
More clarity + ease in your life + romantic life
BUT MORE THAN THAT, THIS WORK CHANGES HOW YOUR LIFE ACTUALLY FEELS…
You feel calmer. More present. More like yourself
You’re not constantly stuck in your head or questioning everything
You feel more connected to yourself + how you move through your day
You’re more able to experience peace, love, and joy - your system will learn how to relax into actually feeling GOOD.

Derived from EMDR, Brainspotting is a brain-and body-based approach that helps access and process patterns at a deeper level than talk therapy. It allows you the space to go beyond insight and finally shift the deeper emotional + nervous system patterns driving your overall experience of joy, especially in relationships. Learn more here.

EMDR therapy for relationship patterns, overthinking, anxiety, that “stuck” despite all my efforts feeling. This creates a space to process what’s still shaping how you feel and respond so you can feel more grounded, clear, and secure in your life and relationships. Learn more here.

You’re not stuck because you lack insight. The patterns you keep experiencing in relationships are held deeper, in your subconscious mind + nervous system. This is why you can understand everything and still feel pulled into the same dynamics, or like nothing is moving forward.
Therapy for healthier relationships focuses on shifting those patterns at their root, so change isn’t just something you understand, but something you actually experience. Learn more here. -
I offer therapy intensives for women ready to move through triggers + relationship patterns in a focused, accelerated way. This model can help you experience real shifts either alongside weekly therapy or instead of. Learn more here.
After i reach out, what happens next?
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. Let me make this part as easy as possible.
You don’t need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Many of the women I work with understand their patterns but still feel unsure about what the next step looks like.
We’ll start with a low-pressure conversation about what’s been coming up in your relationships (or lack thereof) and what you want to shift. You can ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide from there—without any pressure to commit.

If you’ve done a lot of self-work and feel like you understand your patterns, but things still aren’t actually changing in your relationships—this is probably a good fit. Brainspotting is a brain and body-based approach that helps us access and process patterns at a deeper level than traditional talk therapy.
Instead of just talking about what’s going on, we’re working with what’s happening in your nervous system in real time. It’s especially helpful if you feel like you already understand your patterns—but still find yourself stuck in them. -
EMDR is another approach that helps your brain and nervous system process experiences that may still be shaping how you feel and respond today. A lot of what shows up in relationships—overthinking, second-guessing yourself, feeling pulled toward certain dynamics—often has roots in earlier experiences your system is still holding onto.
EMDR helps your brain process those experiences so they don’t feel as activating or familiar. Which means you can start to feel more grounded, more clear, and more like yourself in relationships—instead of getting pulled into the same patterns.

Sessions are focused and very collaborative. We might talk through what’s coming up, but we’re also paying attention to what’s happening in real time, especially in the moments where you start to overthink, question yourself, or feel stuck.
The goal isn’t just to understand what’s happening, but to actually shift how you experience it. -
I’m considered an out-of-network provider and don’t work directly with insurance.
That said, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Many clients are able to get a portion of their sessions covered, depending on their plan—so it’s worth checking your out-of-network benefits.
Why I work this way
Working outside of insurance allows us to:Move at your pace — without limitations on the number of sessions or concerns about coverage being cut off
Focus on what you actually need — not what insurance requires or prioritizes
Keep your information more private — without needing to share diagnoses or session details with insurance companies
Create more personalized, intentional care — without restrictions on how we work together
