Why do I still feel stuck after so much personal growth work? Is this you…

You’ve done a lot of work on yourself. You’re self-aware, intentional, and understand a lot of your patterns.

You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, had the insights, and tried so hard to heal, grow, and “do the work.”

And yet… something still feels stuck underneath it all.

You know deep down that you want something different for yourself… but you still find yourself stuck in familiar patterns, overthinking, self-doubt, or relationship dynamics that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

Maybe life even looks okay from the outside… but internally, it still feels hard to fully relax, trust yourself, feel present, or truly enjoy your life.

Brainspotting helps you access what’s underneath all of that—
so you can go further than insight and actually experience something different in your life + relationships.

What is Brainspotting Therapy?

Brainspotting is derived from EMDR. It’s a similar brain- and body-based therapy that helps you process and shift patterns stored deeper in your nervous system.

While traditional talk therapy focuses primarily on thoughts, emotions, and insight, Brainspotting helps access the underlying patterns that often keep people feeling stuck.

These patterns can show up as:

  • Chronic anxiety

  • Overthinking

  • Difficulty trusting yourself

  • Emotional reactivity

  • Relationship struggles

  • Feeling stuck in survival mode

  • Difficulty relaxing or being present

Brainspotting is often helpful for people who understand their patterns but still feel unable to change them.

Brainspotting sessions are collaborative, focused, and typically feel very natural.

We usually begin by talking about what is coming up for you and identifying a specific issue, feeling, or pattern you'd like to work on.

From there, we pay attention to where you notice that experience in your body and use your visual field to help access the deeper parts of the brain connected to it.

During a session, you may notice:

  • Emotions shifting

  • Physical sensations changing

  • Thoughts or memories surfacing

  • New insights emerging

  • A sense of processing happening without needing to explain everything

There is no pressure to perform, analyze, or say the right thing. We follow your nervous system and allow it to process at its own pace.

How Brainspotting Therapy in Denver Helps You Heal Patterns at the Root

brainspotting

vs.

talk therapy

Yes.

Many people seek Brainspotting after years of personal growth work because they feel like they've gained insight but haven't experienced the level of change they hoped for.

Talk therapy can be incredibly valuable for understanding yourself.

Brainspotting complements that work by helping process the deeper emotional patterns that insight alone may not fully shift.

For many clients, this creates a bridge between knowing and actually experiencing change.

This work doesn’t just impact your relationships.

Over time, it changes the way your life actually feels.

You may notice yourself feeling calmer, more present, more emotionally grounded, and less trapped in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, or emotional survival.

Many clients begin feeling more connected to themselves, more able to receive joy and connection, more confident in their decisions, and more open to the kind of life they deeply want, instead of constantly feeling stuck, disconnected, or held back by familiar patterns.

Can Brainspotting Help If Talk Therapy Hasn't Been Enough?

  • You stop feeling like you’re endlessly repeating the same emotional experiences, relationship dynamics, or internal struggles over and over again.

  • You can experience relationships, success, rest, joy, and visibility without immediately going into fear or self-protection

  • You feel more present in your life instead of constantly stuck in survival mode or overthinking

  • You’re no longer shrinking yourself or holding yourself back in ways you can’t fully explain

  • Your life, as a whole, feels more open… more expansive… like there’s actually room to feel good in it

Because when your system feels safe and regulated—everything else starts to shift too.

FAQs

about brainspotting therapy:

  • Brainspotting is a brain- and body-based approach that helps us access and process patterns at a deeper level than traditional talk therapy.
Instead of only talking through what’s happening, we’re working with what your system is holding—so you’re not just understanding your patterns, you’re actually shifting how they feel and show up in your life.

  • Sessions are typically slower and more focused. We’ll follow what’s coming up in real time—emotionally and physically—while using specific eye positions to help access deeper processing. You might notice sensations in your body, emotions coming up, or a sense of release. There’s no pressure to “perform” or get it right—we go at your pace.

  • Not at all. Many clients come in knowing they feel stuck, activated, or caught in patterns—but aren’t fully sure why. We’ll work together to gently identify what’s coming up and follow that. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

  • A lot of what shows up in relationships—overthinking, second-guessing yourself, feeling pulled toward certain dynamics—lives deeper than conscious thought. Brainspotting helps process what’s underneath those patterns, so you can start to feel more grounded, clear, and less reactive in your relationships. • Expansion Brainspotting focuses on more than just healing what feels stuck—it opens you up to what’s possible beyond it.

Instead of only processing pain or patterns, we also work with the parts of you that are ready for more—more love, more joy, more ease, more aliveness. It helps your system actually receive and hold those experiences, not just understand them.

This is where the work becomes not just about feeling better…
but about feeling more—more open, more connected, and more fully alive in your life.

  • Some clients begin to notice shifts fairly quickly, while others benefit from a slower, more ongoing process. We’ll check in as we go and adjust based on what feels most supportive for you—there’s no set timeline you have to fit into.

  • That’s completely normal. A lot of the women I work with feel some level of uncertainty at first—especially if they’ve already done a lot of work and aren’t sure what will actually help things shift. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, and you won’t be pushed into anything you’re not ready for. You get to stay connected to yourself throughout the process.

  • Not at all!

A lot of women initially come to Brainspotting because of relationship patterns, anxiety, overthinking, or feeling emotionally stuck. But the work often becomes much bigger than that.

Because usually, the patterns showing up in relationships are connected to deeper nervous system responses and emotional wounds that affect many areas of life.

Over time, clients often notice shifts not only in relationships, but also in:

    • self-trust

    • emotional regulation

    • anxiety and overwhelm

    • feeling more grounded and connected to themselves

    • their ability to experience more peace, joy, ease, and emotional safety

The goal here isn’t just to understand your patterns intellectually, it’s to help your mind and body finally feel safe enough to to live authentically + joyfully - whatever that means for you :)

This work can be especially powerful in therapy intensives, where we have the time and space to fully process what’s been stuck.

Change is possible.

You don’t have to keep repeating the same patterns.

It’s possible to feel more grounded, more secure, and more like yourself—
in your relationships and in your life.
